A while ago I showed you <a href="http://www.galaxyyarchive.info/2013/02/root-making-back-and-menu-buttons.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">how to make your menu and back keys vibrate upon touch</a> which works succesfully but unfortunately for users who don't want to root their phone, that wasn't possible as you had to use a root file browsing app and modify a file in the system partition.<br />
<br />
A member from xda-developers forums - <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=5355336">thewarlord</a> has come up with this idea to make a CWM flashable zip file that gets the job done without all of that hassle on rooting your phone, going through your system partition and modifying a file, and rebooting the phone on top of that. Quite clever.<br />

This little mod replaces your default qwerty.kl file with one that has the changes done into it, and this can be considered universal (should work on any rom) as this file shouldn't really have much difference on various 2.3.6 builds.<br />

Installation:</h2>

<li>Download the above zip file to your sdcard</li>
<li>Boot into CWM Recovery</li>
<li>Go to "install zip from sdcard"</li>
<li>Then select "choose zip from sdcard"</li>
<li>Now locate the softviberatecwm.zip file and select it</li>
<li>Choose Yes when asked to confirm</li>
<li>Wait a few seconds and after it says "install from sdcard complete"</li>
<li>Press the back button to go to the main menu and select "reboot system now"</li>
<li>Enjoy your vibrating soft keys</li>

Paranoid ROM is a custom rom based off CyanogenMod9 (Android 4.0.4) currently developed by <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4920380">hacker0377</a> from xda-developers. Unlike the JellyBlast custom rom, this one is actually ICS based but it has a lot of bugs so please keep in mind that this rom may not be suitable for daily use.<br />

Optimus Nexus Me is a custom rom based off CyanogenMod7 and currently developed by <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4794403" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Yash98</a> at xda-developers forums. From the looks of it, the point of this rom is to give users the Nexus 4 feel and look, judging by how it is themed on the screenshots. Installing the app is pretty simple. Download either the APK from the xda-developers forum attachment or purchase the app from the Play Store. Then after you install the app, it will give you a screen where you need to enable it as a device administrator, so don't worry, just enable it and you are done.<br />

</a>, this is not one of those usual init.d scripts. So what will this improve on your phone you ask? A lot of things. They are just too many to count, but luckaly the developer has made a very accurate list.<br />

It has been tested on the Galaxy Y and it definitely seems to have improven the performance for the CPU, Memory, I/O, 2D and 3D graphics scores on benchmark apps. Here it increased the total score in a Quadrant benchmark test from 832 to 931.<br />
