I don't know about you, but ever since I found out that the Galaxy Y will be stuck with Gingerbread and it's old TouchWiz UI, I've always thrived to get the latest look of TouchWiz. Stealing icons off of Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy S2, etc. Just look at GYA rom.<br />

This launcher is based off a<a href="http://www.coolauncher.cn/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> Chinese launcher</a> and made to replicate the Galaxy Note 3's by <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=5423799" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">invinsible_asp </a> from xda-developers forums.<br />
<br />
It doesn't offer much customization settings like other launchers do but you do not really need them as the main goal of this launcher is to replicate the Note 3. So having an option to put a custom icon pack or to change some other things around would be useless. <br />

Installing the app is pretty simple. Download either the APK from the xda-developers forum attachment or purchase the app from the Play Store. Then after you install the app, it will give you a screen where you need to enable it as a device administrator, so don't worry, just enable it and you are done.<br />

This month is very Touchwizzy as we've seen a few cool things to make our Galaxy Y look like the newer devices out there. We saw the <a href="http://www.galaxyyarchive.info/2013/07/galaxy-s3-lockscreen-for-samsung-galaxy.html" target="_blank">S3 lockscreen</a>, <a href="http://www.galaxyyarchive.info/2013/07/galaxy-s4-live-wallpaper-for-samsung.html" target="_blank">the S4 wallpaper</a>, and now we're gonna take a look at the S4 look-a-like settings app.<br />

<a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=5245354" target="_blank">bbclo531</a> recently posted this on the xda-developers boards, without much information about where it came from, unfortunately. But by looking at the top tabs, they are in non-english letters which means that this is once again another exported app off a Chinese replica phone.<br />

I have tested everything and it is working without any problems. The app comes with the name "Settings" and it uses the same app icon that the Galaxy S4 has. All of the settings menus are accessible and the only problem might be the tabs' names, but anyone with basic decompiling skills can translate them to their preffered language.<br />

This app includes some customization settings inside it other than just being a simple live wallpaper, so you can change some things to your desires. This includes changing the touch effect to either water splash or light particles.<br />

I have tested this app on the Galaxy Y and it runs smoothly. After monitoring it for a bit I've noticed it uses around 22MB of your RAM.<br />

Today I picked up this awesome S3 lockscreen app from the xda-developers boards, shared by <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4805389">Roman_Likhachev</a> (surprisingly, it still wasn't shared in the Galaxy Y boards). There is not much information on this, it could be another extracted app off a chinese device that is trying to have the TouchWiz look but was meant for a more low-end device thus it is compatible with ours aswell.<br />

What I found very interesting about this apps is that it has been given the Galaxy S3 layout, which makes it even more awesome. <br />

That means we are able to run the Mozilla Firefox Nightly build on the SGY without any problems unless the build itself has bugs and other issues which could lead to crashes. This is not a broken port but an official ARMv6 version released by the Mozilla developers.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I've taken some time to try this out on the Galaxy Y and it's not that bad. What is cool about this is that you can download and install Addons to it, save whole websites as PDF files as well as installing Apps.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">I could not test the webpage loading speed though because I'm using a mobile data plan for an internet connection which is bad compared to a wireless network. If you are going to try this then please, leave a comment on how the web page loading performance is like on a faster internet connection.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">It takes only 2 taps on your phone screen to get the job done. You simply start up the app, either select the tasks which you want to kill or just go ahead and tap on <b>KILL selected tasks</b>. The task killer automatically chooses which tasks are useless for killing, commonly mistaken is the custom launcher and widget apps running in the background, it auto-selects them so you better unselect those apps. If it's just a launcher you can just directly press the home button to start it up, if you've made it a system app it should come back by itself.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">Another thing I really like about this is that even it doesn't run in the background as it appears on the list and is selected by default. So not only do you kill the useless apps but you kill this app aswell.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Verdana,sans-serif;">This was a very handy tool for me when I was with CyanogenMod7 as it didn't have a task killer other than to go to Applications -> Running Services. It's very needed on CM7 because once you gather up alot of tasks it becomes very sluggish.</span><br />
