Hello everyone, today we're gonna take a look at the AOSP Gingerbread 2.3.7 ROM (yes, not 2.3.6) developed by SpaceCaker at xda-developers forums. For those of you who are not aware, AOSP means Android Open Source Project, which means that this rom is a pure Gingerbread rom and does not include a single Samsung or carrier bloatware app. You should have already noticed that judging by the low size of the rom zip file.

Installation:

<li>Download the RC1 AOSP GB.zip and the Kernel.zip</li>
<li>Go to Recovery mode and Flash the Kernel.zip</li>
<li>After that go to CWM recovery and go to Mounts & Storage > Format System,Data and Cache</li>
<li>Mount all of them again</li>
<li>Go to Install Zip from SD Card</li>
<li>Choose Zip from SD Card</li>
<li>Choose the V4 AOSP GB.zip</li>
<li>Wipe data/factory reset</li>
<li>Reboot and enjoy.</li>

[ROM][DEV]AOSP GB 2.3.7 for Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360

Hello everyone, today we're gonna take a look at the AOSP Gingerbread 2.3.7 ROM (yes, not 2.3.6) developed by SpaceCaker at xda-dev...

<a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4896462" target="_blank">rajit</a> recently posted this mod which consists of modifications to pretty much all of the system apps such as the framework, systemui, settings, etc. I personally haven't tested this yet but from the looks of it, this also installs an app to your phone from which you can at any time easily change the look of the battery. 
 
Obviously this is strictly for deodexed roms only as claimed in the xda thread, so be sure to have a deodexed rom aswell as a backup just incase something goes wrong if you're planning on installing this to your system. 
 
It appears that you can "swipe to clear" and change the icon at anytime by just pressing 3 or 4 times on the battery icon to "see the magic".
