Hello everyone, today we're gonna take a look at the AOSP Gingerbread 2.3.7 ROM (yes, not 2.3.6) developed by SpaceCaker at xda-developers forums. For those of you who are not aware, AOSP means Android Open Source Project, which means that this rom is a pure Gingerbread rom and does not include a single Samsung or carrier bloatware app. You should have already noticed that judging by the low size of the rom zip file.

RC1 Changelog (03-08-2013):
  • Bluetooth Fixed
  • Overlay fully fixed
  • Dialer properly resized
  • Release Candidate 1

Installation:
  1. Download the RC1 AOSP GB.zip and the Kernel.zip
  2. Go to Recovery mode and Flash the Kernel.zip
  3. After that go to CWM recovery and go to Mounts & Storage > Format System,Data and Cache
  4. Mount all of them again
  5. Go to Install Zip from SD Card
  6. Choose Zip from SD Card
  7. Choose the V4 AOSP GB.zip
  8. Wipe data/factory reset
  9. Reboot and enjoy.

      I've put stock rom on my sgy, then done everything like in the video but when it starts I unlock the SIM then try to do the normal steps with google accounts, but the screen freezes and then become black. Then if I press the power off button it starts to vibrate and never stops. Pls help me!?

      i try this but i got bootlooping ong the sgy screen keeps comming back >.< suddenly i manage to get back the h8 tru cwm :D haixt if this rom needs to be stock rom before using the aosp ???

      and there is status bar bug...it does not not show me the toggles......i'll try to flash lidroids parts for the toggles

      hey.....i also got the .zip file for the original kernel...and i tried it with both kernel.....and the bug still the same!!


      1.no toggles in status bar....i tried to flash 14 toggles but FORCE TO CLOSE
      2.wifi work fine
      3.bluetooth turn on but cannot recive, send files
      4.can play angry birds games,ect.... but the graphic is a little ugly!!.......if you use poweramp...you'll see the difference



      that's all bug i seen so far.....and a last thing...No file maneger..you'll have to download one from playstore after flashing!! :)
