Optimus Nexus Me is a custom rom based off CyanogenMod7 and currently developed by Yash98 at xda-developers forums. From the looks of it, the point of this rom is to give users the Nexus 4 feel and look, judging by how it is themed on the screenshots. It is a very light in size rom and has all of the bloatware removed, even most Google apps, but you are left with Play Store and Google Search.

Installation:

  1. Download the two zip files to your sdcard
  2. Power off your phone, boot into CWM Recovery
  3. Go to mounts and storage, make sure everything is mounted
  4. Go back, choose to install zip from sdcard and choose the Percy_G2_CyanogenMod2_2.zip file
  5. After it is done installing, go back, go to "advanced" and choose "Reboot recovery" option
  6. Your phone will reboot into the new Recovery mode from the kernel you flashed
  7. Head again into mounts and storage and format /system, /data and /cache
  8. After formatting them, mount them all
  9. Go back, and now select to install zip from sdcard
  10. Choose the rom zip file, choose Yes to confirm
  11. After installation is complete, choose "reboot system now"

    nothing to worry.. go to sammobile.com create account and download your firmware based on your location and you will download md5 file place it at PDA in odin flash it

    First of all thanks a lot to the developers (Yash) for such a cute rom.


    Previously I had nemesis 2.5, but this started giving errors after updating through OTA.
    So, I had to use a new rom and I found this. But I downloaded the rom from another site, that site did not mention that I will also require a kernel for this rom. So, after flashing optimus, my phone stucked at samsug logo. But I already experienced this problem earlier during installation of nemesis. So, I realized that I need the kernel too.


    Thanks to the author for posting both kernel and rom.. and for simple and useful installation process.



    I followed the procees and now my phone is fine.. Remember, Install the kernel first then the rom and when you first boot the phone after complete installation it takes little long time 1 - 1.5 min I guess, then enjoy your new rom.

    Gallery and Videos app is not working, I cant even open image one by one, when I click on gallery, the screen splash and shows nothing, I can see the thumbnails in filemanager, but cant open them individually.. please suggest something

    Now I have installed both kernel and rom from this site... I am getting a problem in starting radio, on startup radio tries to switch on bluetooth and suddenly forceclose... Plus default swype app is not workng. I took backup of swype from original samsung software but now when I try to install and run it, then it contineously force close, any help is best help

    after installing this rom... i have added google account in play store app in fone.... but still wen i access Play from PC it shows.. no devices found.... HELP !!

    I removed my sim card and it worked fine. then when I put back my sim card it's stuck on the galaxy y logo again :( please help me.
