There are times your Galaxy Y may start causing you problems such as hangs at certain points, apps force-closing, not allowing you to move forward and so on after installing a faulty app.
If you didn't know, Android can also be booted into Safe Mode just like how you boot your Windows PC and the main point of it is of course for troubleshooting issues. Thanks to Safe Mode, you will be able to uninstall unresponsive apps and fix your phone.

  2. A custom ROM is nothing else than a modified version of Android Gingerbread. This works on absolutely any ROM.
