» » [ROM] GingerDX port for Galaxy Y

From what I see, this is a ported Galaxy Ace ROM which is being further developed for the Galaxy Y by yash989 from xda-developers forums. He claims the bug that this ROM has are pretty much the same as CM7.

Update - Click here. (flash it once you are with the ROM)

 Instructions:
  1. Flash either white or hells fusion kernel
  2. Download the ROM to your SD card
  3. Boot into Recovery mode, then flash CWM Recovery
  4. Go to mounts and storage and mount /system then choose format /system
  5. Go back, wipe cache and data
  6. Choose to install zip from sdcard
  7. Locate and choose the GingerDX zip file, choose Yes when asked
  8. Wait a few minutes for the installation to be complete and for the phone to completely boot up
  9. You may only see a status bar now, turn your phone off
  10. Flash the update zip file in Recovery mode and reboot
  11. Enjoy

    Flash either whitexp's kernel or hells fusion kernel. You can find whitexp's for example in the Kernels category at the top.

    it didnt work.... my phone stayed in samsung logo for almost an hour... i followed the steps correctly and it stuck....

    i found something on this phone. when you flash a rom or do spomething that cause bootloop don't panic, re flash the rom ,do a lot of resets or any else. when you have boot loop pull the battery out ,wait 3,5 sec to complete power off and then reintroduse the battery, pres power button and while the phone is booting up tap the volume buttons ,and tap ,and tap and don't stop until you see the lockscreen or that start screen with "Welcome to GT-S5360" I think this can work on all phones but i only have this Galaxy Y so I can't test on other phones.

    No .. it dint work.. stuck on boot loop.. it worked once.. but at dat tym.. when aftr booting up.. i flashed d update.. it gor stuck on boot loop again. :( .. plss sir can u give a video tutorial... :)
