SaM-RoM from xda-developers forums claims he ported this off a Chinese device and judging from the people's replies, this seems to work decently on the Galaxy Y.

 Features: 
  • Awesome HD Wallpapers.
  • Superb scrolling effect.
  • Fully functional widget bar.
  • You can add up-to 9 screen.
  • New feature called shake to change(to change your wallpaper simply shake your phone)
  • And most important thing is that it's very much light weight and there is no lag at all.
Changelog in v1.1: 
  • Minimum home-screen-1, Maximum home-screen-9.
  • Removed app title from dock.
  • Added missed calls and unread message count in dock bar.
  • Now app drawer titles are in bold.
  • Added in and out animation for app drawer.
  • Back key for edit screen option has been removed.
  • Added backup and restore feature.

 Instructions:
  1. Boot into Recovery Mode
  2. Flash CWM Recovery
  3. Go to mounts and storage and be sure to mount /system
  4. Go back, choose to install zip from sdcard
  5. Choose the Galaxy S3 launcher zip file, choose Yes when asked
  6. After installation complete, press Power button to go back, choose reboot system now
  7. Enjoy

    It does work fine on mah phone but when it rebooted it hanged at the default launcher gui

    I've tested. It works for Galaxy y duos too, but laggy, and a little hard to enter menu

    i think this is not compatible with galaxy y .. because when i change my wallpaper into my camera pictures .. it is zoomed ? i think its not compatible with this 240 x 320 am i right ?

    i hope it will be fixed .. because beside of my wallpaper prob. nothing follows .. :) sorry for my english :D the features of this launcher is soooo great .. its a fast and stable i think .. the wallpaper thingy .. i want you to fix it :)

    is it save? because im afraid that my phone will boot loop again, like when i was installing
    Extended Power Menu for Stock ROM (http://www.galaxyyarchive.info/2013/03/extended-power-menu-for-stock-rom.html )

    Sorry for the delay. This launcher should be safe to install as it doesn't replace any important system files, it just pushes itself as a system app.

    As for the statusbar, this launcher does not change it, you still keep your old one.

    P. S : you said that the status bar does not change, but why in ( or on ) the screenshot the status bar changed?

    The screenshot wasn't taken by me personally. The person has modified his statusbar when he took the screenshot.
