GreenDroidGD is a custom rom developed by <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=5139401">Blaze</a> from xda-developers forums. As you can see pretty much the whole user interface is themed in green, you could call this something unique apart from most ICS/JellyBean UI clones. The developer didn't give much information on core changes such as what kind of tweaks and improvements have been applied to the rom, but mostly just information on which parts of the rom have been themed in green. 
 
But by looking at a screenshot below, it appears it atleast has the basic features any custom rom should offer such as the AOSP lockscreens, EDT tweaks, CPU control, DSP Manager, etc.

It's been a while since we have made the last weekly poll and today we've thought of something neat to see how the accidental drop rating of the Galaxy Y is doing. 
 
In this week's poll, we are gonna ask you the following question:

[ROM] Ace-i-Sure for Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360

Ace-i-Sure is a custom rom based off the Samsung Galaxy Ace's firmware (atleast that's what I am aware of) ported by <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4971058">tom411</a> from xda-developers forums. This rom is not themed to look like an advanced TouchWiz version themed rom, neither does it represent a ICS/Jelly Bean look but rather something quite unique. 
 
Please note that this is not based off Galaxy Y's official firmware but from another phone so you may experience some problems now here and then. If so, you may post your problems here as a comment or better yet, if you have an xda-developers forums account you can notify <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4971058">tom411</a> about the issue so that it will be fixed in the future releases.

Yeah, yeah, we all know that we barely got a cyanogenmod7 fully working on the Samsung Galaxy Y, but that shouldn't get in the way of trying to port cm9 to work somewhat like cm7 on the little Galaxy Y. 
A week ago, <a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4913184">percy_g2</a> started a thread at xda-developers forums with an unofficial build of Cyanogenmod9. 
 
Note: Please don't expect to see fully working features on this one as it doesn't have the progress the Cyanogenmod7 build has. By installing this you should be aware of the bugs you will experience and various functions not working, please keep the hateful comments away. 
 
The build we will have a look at in this post will be Build #2 with the changes: 
"Overlay fixed for ldpi (no more fc in phone app and overlapping)"

Instructions:

Here is Hyperion Project Reloaded, the developers decided to do a re-work on the rom. They claim that it is now "Faster, Smarter and Better than ever!". 
 
From the looks of it, the rom has received a major overhaul in transparency on pretty much any system app and settings menus, there might be more core stuff that have been changed though.

Instructions:

<li>Boot into Recovery mode</li>
<li>Flash CWM Recovery</li>
<li>Once in CWM Recovery, go to mounts and storage and mount everything you can</li>
<li>Go back, go to advanced, then from there select wipe dalvik cache then wipe battery stats</li>
<li>Go back, select wipe data, then wipe cache</li>
<li>Select install zip from sdcard</li>
<li>Then choose zip from sdcard</li>
<li>Locate the BASE.B-02.5.zip and choose it</li>
<li>Choose Yes to confirm</li>
<li>After installation is complete, reboot the phone</li>

<li>Push with a root browsing app or adb</li>
<li>Don't forget to set permissions - rw-r--r-- if done with root browsing app</li>

<a href="http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4983664">madz13</a> from xda-developers has shared a custom app he made that contains the Galaxy S4 wallpapers. This is not some zip file that you extract and paste the image files to your sdcard but you install this apk, and it creates a shortcut on your Wallpapers popup when you long-press on your homescreen which gives a much quicker access than manually browsing the images through the gallery to set them as wallpapers. 
 
This app contains 7 wallpapers that get installed. The installation is very simple, basically you just install the apk like you install any app and you are done.
