Error message when internal memory is full.

As you all know the Samsung Galaxy Young has very low internal memory unlike the bigger smartphones out there with gigabytes of space while our little Y has only 160MB.
Sometimes it can be a huge pain when some apps install on your memory and you keep getting messages like "insufficent memory available" or "uninstall some applications", sometimes you even get notifications on the screen such as "internal memory nearly full", etc.

All you need for this procedure is an SD card with some memory you are willing to sacrifice of, ClockworkMod recovery to help us partition the SD card, Link2SD to move the apps automatically to the 2nd partition (this option is enabled by default) and ofcourse, a rooted phone.

Before everything, please make a complete backup of your files from your SD card to some folder in your computer.

Once you downloaded CWM on your sd card and installed Link2SD, proceed with the video instructions:

And that is how you partition your SD card to get more memory for your apps.

    Hi Mitko, now that my sd card is partitioned, i cant locate pictures taken from my camera360 app. and is it okay to use ext2 than ext3 ? i cant use ext3 .. i am using hyperion 8 ..

    2 questions pop out of this:

    - Is it possible to move System apps like Gmail or Google Maps to this partition? I'm not being able to move them to the SDcard using Lin2SD (without creating this extra partition).

    - Is it possible to move to this partition apps that autostart at boot? (correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it is possible to do this by default in Android)

    U can only use cwm on recovery mode.. turn off ur phone then turn it on by pressing simultaniously +vol,menu,power then wait for the gsy logo and finalky in 5 sec ull be in recovery mode

    Mitko sir i have a doubt before following your procedure if i kept my balanceat 1 rs and my gprs plans at 5rs. And i don't have any sorrow for the gprs plans if they got away i just wanted to know that my balance will be cut in the future or not if i recharge my mobile after following your procedure plzz reply i will be waiting for your answer

    hi tushar, I think it wont affect your mobile balance, as it has no connection with your mobile account... but be sure to backup everything thats possible, like your ph. nos. apps, mssgs etc.. good luck

    all I did until to select ext3 but showing root access warning link2sd not obtain root access.
    if you have root access make sure you respond 'Allow' or 'Grant' to the superuser request

    after u downloaded the CWM, copy the link to the sd card (after connecting your phone with laptop/computer. and do not extract it) then u can follow the steps as in the video. i hope it helps

    u
    Link2SD could notgain root access.

    If you have root access make sure you root access make sure you respond 'allow' to

    Well... I was able to do everything and it turned on with nothing left. It deleted everything except for my messages which I backed up. I tried backing up the apps but they were still deleted. I did it twice already.

    I went to Link2sd app and chose ext3 as the file for my SD card second partition, press ok, but it give me error: Mount script cannot be created. not allowed to su

    ??? What does that mean?
    I looked at the comments below and read about rooting the phone first, but the update file is no longer available to download....
