Earlier today a person at xda-developers was requesting the apk of the widget so that he can add it on his Galaxy Y. I took the time to extract it off a Pocket ROM, tested and it works good.
What I personally like more about this one is that it is smaller, which is a good thing for our small display, it leaves space for another widget on the screen for example, Google Search.

- Download the APK to your SD card
- Use a root browsing tool and copy/move it to /system/app/
- Close the root browsing tool, go to homescreen and add the AccuWeather widget
- Enjoy
